Thank you for stopping by and reading.

This website is aimed at some of the most important people in the country: Swing voters in swing states. In a sense, the rest of us–partisans on the Biden and Trump sides and undecideds in states that are not in play–are more or less bystanders to this drama. The posts on this site highlight the accomplishments of Joe Biden and his administration. I believe there are many and that they are important.

As important as those accomplishments are, there is a bigger reason that I am spending my time and money on this project. I wouldn’t be if Nikki Haley was the presumptive Republican nominee. Or Chris Christie. Or Vivek Ramasamy. Or Ron DeSantis.

The reason is simple: They are not Donald Trump. As much as I don’t like their politics, none of those folks has demonstrated the criminal, immoral, unethical, uncivil and crude behavior of Trump. They are normal politicians. Some go to the edge but know not to cross it.

That’s the baseline difference: Trump always has lived on the other side of the line. A second term would be a threat to our way of life.

If you are an undecided voter in a swing state it is important to factor in – and factor in heavily – precisely who Donald Trump is. It’s not about “owning the libs” or any specific issue, as important as anyone may be.

It’s about who we are.

Just to make sure we all are on the same page, let’s review Trump’s record. You know this stuff but its good to see it in one place:

  • He’s been indicted on various charges both federally and in Georgia related to trying to steal the 2020 election.
  • He’s been kicked off the ballot in Colorado.
  • He’s been found guilty in civil court of fraud in his business dealings.
  • He fooled around with Stormy Daniels a few weeks after his youngest son was born. That’s not illegal. But it’s immoral and skevvy.
  • He’s indicted for falsifying business records when he tried to hide the hush money payments to Daniels.
  • He was found guilty in civil court of sexually abusing (i.e. raping) E. Jean Carroll.
  • He’s been indicted of stealing and mishandling highly classified and extraordinarily sensitive documents.
  • He posts incendiary messages on social media that demean other politicians, public officials and members of the judiciary. These messages clearly put them in danger.

Those are just the highlights.

Trump faces 91 felony counts in four venues. The legal cases referenced are at various phases of adjudication. Some (the business cheating and the sexual assault) are done or close to done. He has been found guilty in those. The others charges are accusations. It’s important to point that out since we are lucky enough to live in a country in which a person is innocent until proven guilty.

However, it’s also important and fair to point out two other things: The first is that experts agree Trump’s legal strategy is to delay his trials until he is elected and can use his power to eliminate or minimize his legal troubles. The second is that the electorate shouldn’t dismiss the accusations simply because verdicts have not been reached. You are a voter, not a member of the jury.

The Other Swing State Option

Let’s turn for a second to Joe Biden. He is a career politician who is called a good and compassionate man even by his political opponents. Biden is old, has faults and has taken plenty of positions with which it’s possible to argue. He struggled with inflation and the withdrawal from Afghanistan was awful. He is president and deep challenges come with the territory. Some of those challenges have eroded his support.

I’m an open person who tries to see issues from different perspectives. That said, I find it impossible to argue that Biden is not the better choice for America from a civil, moral and ethical standpoint. That, to quote Biden himself, is a “BFD.”

This website will make the case for that.

For the most part, this site will try to do what the Biden team and Democratic establishment hasn’t done too well: Explain what Biden has done and how it helps people. There will be a focus on the swing states.

Pollsters find that many undecided people don’t know what Biden has accomplished during the past three years. The polling also suggests that people Biden Tackles the Economy, Climate Change in Michigan ($35 cap on insulin, anyone? Billions for rural broadband? Billions for physical infrastructure? A gazzillion new jobs?) The polling suggests, quite naturally, that the more people know about these things the more they like Biden.
